Griffin Peebles porta United Autosports in testa fin dalle prime fasi e al momento del pit stop consegna la macchina a Grégoire Saucy con circa dieci secondi di margine sul resto del campo. La corsa, però, non è ancora finita: una Virtual Safety Car causata dall’uscita di pista della Ferrari Kessel Racing alla curva sei — con una ruota posteriore collassata che costringe al recupero della vettura — azzerà i vantaggi accumulati e rimescolerà le carte per quasi venticinque minuti. Quando la race direction espone di nuovo la bandiera verde, manca meno di un’ora al termine.
Saucy gestisce la ripartenza con autorità e Ben Hanley chiude i conti: la bandiera a scacchi arriva con quasi nove secondi di vantaggio sull’Oreca di Reshad De Gerus (Inter Europol Competition), terzo assoluto Paul Loup Chatin per IDEC Sport. Quarto il trio IDEC Rinicella-Chadwick-Horr, che porta a casa punti preziosi per il campionato.
Per Peebles si tratta del primo successo in LMP2, maturato in una gara controllata con grande maturità nonostante la neutralizzazione che ha rimescolato la griglia a meno di un’ora dal termine.
Il risultato più emozionante della giornata porta la firma dell’equipaggio Duqueine di Pro Racing Motorsport. Giorgio Roda aveva conquistato sabato la pole position in LMP2 Pro/Am, ma una penalità inflitta alla vigilia della gara ha costretto i tre piloti — completati da Richard Verschoor e dalla giovane Doriane Pin — a prendere il via dalla trentesima posizione in griglia. Quello che è seguìto è stato uno dei recuperi più convincenti della stagione: una rimonta paziente, metodica, giro dopo giro, fino al terzo posto di classe che vale un podio a tutti gli effetti.
Un risultato che dimostra la qualità del pacchetto tecnico e la solidità del trio: Verschoor porta in dote la velocità da monoposto, Pin la freschezza e la crescita costante, Roda l’esperienza necessaria a gestire le fasi cruciali. Matteo Quintarelli chiude in ottava posizione nella classe LMP3 con il Team Virage. Un weekend che lascia margini di miglioramento in vista del prossimo appuntamento, ma che ha permesso di accumulare esperienza su un tracciato tecnico come Paul Ricard.

Griffin Peebles put United Autosports at the front early on and handed over the leading car to Grégoire Saucy with a ten-second cushion over the rest of the field. The race, however, was far from over: a Virtual Safety Car — triggered when the no74 Kessel Racing Ferrari shed a rear wheel at Turn 6 and needed recovering — wiped out the hard-earned gap and froze the order for nearly 25 minutes with less than an hour remaining.
Saucy managed the restart with composure and handed over to Ben Hanley, who took the chequered flag nearly nine seconds clear of Reshad De Gerus in the no34 Inter Europol Competition Oreca. Paul Loup Chatin completed the overall podium for IDEC Sport, while Valerio Rinicella and Jamie Chadwick crossed the line fourth in class to secure valuable championship points.
For Peebles, this marks a first LMP2 victory — delivered with maturity and control in a race that could have unravelled entirely when the VSC reset the field with under an hour to go.

Giorgio Roda had claimed LMP2 Pro/Am pole on Saturday, only for a pre-race penalty to drop the trio — completed by Richard Verschoor and Doriane Pin — all the way back to 30th on the grid. What followed was one of the most measured and impressive comebacks of the season: a patient, lap-by-lap recovery that ended with a third-place class finish and a well-deserved podium.
The result is a testament to the depth of the package: Verschoor’s outright single-seater pace, Pin’s consistency and development, and Roda’s experience in handling the critical moments of a four-hour race
