Dopo un weekend di Barcellona dai risultati misti, il Red Bull Ring offre l’occasione di rilanciarsi su un tracciato che conoscono già bene. Questo weekend in pista anche il CEO Giancarlo Fisichella nel suo primo weekend da Brand Ambassador della Formula 1.

Maciej Gladysz ha pagato una penalità di griglia nella Sprint Race, ma si è rifatto alla grande in Feature Race con una rimonta aggressiva chiusa in decima posizione — il suo miglior risultato stagionale. Matteo De Palo è invece quello che porta a Spielberg il rammarico più grande: un problema elettrico in qualifica gli ha impedito di sfruttare un giro che si stava costruendo con grande fiducia, condizionando l’intero weekend.

One month after the in-season test, Pro Racing’s three drivers return to Austria for Round 4 of the FIA Formula 3 Championship. After a mixed-results weekend in Barcelona, the Red Bull Ring offers a chance to bounce back on a track they already know well. Also on track this weekend is CEO Giancarlo Fisichella in his first weekend as a Formula 1 Brand Ambassador.
The Catalan weekend left different impressions in the three garages. Bruno Del Pino fought for a podium in the Feature Race until five laps from the finish, when tyre degradation pushed him out of the top points positions. He still sits solidly third in the championship, a short distance from the lead. Maciej Gladysz served a grid penalty in the Sprint Race but made up for it in the Feature Race with an aggressive comeback that finished tenth — his best result of the season. Matteo De Palo brings to Spielberg the bitterest regret: an electrical problem in qualifying prevented him from capitalizing on a lap he had been building with great confidence, compromising his whole weekend.

Unlike Monaco, where everything was new, Spielberg brings a significant psychological advantage: Pro Racing’s three drivers already ran on this asphalt during the end-of-May in-season test, before the European debut in Monte Carlo. The Red Bull Ring — 4.326 km, long straights, heavy braking zones and steep gradients among the Styrian hills — is a circuit that rewards the power unit and braking confidence, and leaves less room for unexpected variables than the streets of the Principality. Reference data in hand, knowledge of the kerbs, feel for the grip: all of this translates into a firmer starting point for the weekend.
